For the second straight year, La Paz National High School (LPNHS) in Iloilo City won the National Values Education Program award organized by the Pambansang Samahan Para sa Edukasyon sa Pagpapahalaga Inc. (PSEP) or Philippine Association for Values Education.
LPNHS bagged First Place and received a plaque of recognition during the awarding ceremony of the 21st Annual National Values Education Convention at Hotel Stotsenberg, Clark, Pampanga Nov. 27.
The city public high school was recognized for its outstanding achievements and exceptional contributions as a youth organization in sustaining and strengthening the National Values Education Program.
LPNHS was cited for demonstrating exemplary leadership and extraordinary school and community involvement in the promotion of Filipino values and for manifesting dedication and genuine commitment toward the implementation of the goals and thrusts of values education.
The citation was given by PSEP president Aurora B. Fulgencio, convention chair Ireneo M. Mendoza, and Board of Judges chair Dennis M. Mendoza.
PSEP, a non-stock, non-profit, non-partisan and non-sectarian association is committed to promote and strengthen values education program and to assess the impact of these programs on the development of the nation.
